We just saw her live last night in Albuquerque in a wonderful outdoor setting -- she was awesome!! unfortunetly the rain and lightning started and we had to leave early - so Ruthie we are buying the whole album today to find out what we missed out on -- you will love her music try one song and you will be hooked! She is Great! (and I do not say that very often in today's music desert)

Wow! And, I do mean wow! I'm listening to this soulful lady right now at the Clearwater Blues Festival. I'm sold on Ruthie. If this lady doesn't light your fire, check your pulse. Howard

What a great CD. Strong vocals and the Hammond is pure bliss.

Ruthie really nails this one! The songs are strong, and I like them all with one exception (I'll let you figure that out :-) George Porter, Jr. and Russell Batiste lay down serious grooves, and Ike Stubblefield plays a soulful, gospel tinged Hammon B3 which is ethereal and whimiscal, while at the same time always serving the melody well. The Blind Boys of Alabama fit like a glove with Ruthie and she shines. I also love the William Bell duet. The Johnny Cash tune Ring of Fire if pure delight. I've seen Ruthie twice; once with Jorma Kaukonen (Hot Tuna, Jefferson Airplane fame) and Robben Ford Band backing her. The other time was with her band at Jazzfest 2010 (I think). Ruthie is the real deal on every level. Buy this album NOW :-) You'll love it!

Love her sound, but amazed at how much she sounds like the late Eva Cassidy who also recorded You Don't Miss Your Water!
