Modern guilt was actually dead on. Volcano being a prime example. Its the world thats f dup. The Japanese girl is your sign. Changing my ways despite myself, me too.
  • Beck will never make a song I will not listen to

This absolutely reminded me of Sea Change, and even has an almost country feel to it.

Feels like this was written during the Sea Change sessions and that is a great thing, as Sea Change is one the most beautifully haunting albums of the last century.

I'm a massive Beck fan, and it's so nice to hear a mature song like this one from my favorite artist, as he slowly moves away from the sillyness of "Odelay" (as much fun as that silliness was) and into more well-crafted songs like this one. I like everything Beck does, and his one-offs for soundtracks never disappoint - check out "Bad Blood" from the True Blood soundtrack or his cover of "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime" from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. There are no throw-away songs from Beck, and this is no exception.

I quite like this song. It definitely has a sea change feel to it my favorite beck album and one of my all time favorite albums.
  • This isn't Beck

It's commercially-hyped Beck creating a song to fill a need for a wide demographic audience...weak, at best.
  • Totally reminds me of "Sea Change"
