I am a Polynesian and very proud to listen to this mans work because this is like true Polynesian music right here! The way he sings, how it's executed, how you can hear the Hawaiian island sound to it, etc. I don't know, it's just a wonderful album! I love keali'i reichel!

Reichel has delivered the greatest rendition of "In my life"by the Beatles. There is a sublime piece of nostalgia in this guy's voice, and the soothing Hawaiian rythm is bloody fantastic!

This album was one of the only souvenirs I brought back with me from my first visit to Hawaii as a teenager. It remains one of the most beautiful and nostalgic of all the albums I own. Every time I hear it, I'm back in Hawaii.

You don't have to understand the language to listen to and enjoy these songs... music is it's own language.

The songs on this album are just beautiful. The richness of Kealiʻiʻs voice singing in Hawaiian is an authentic Island sound.

This is by far my favorite Keali'i Reichel album. I remember when this came out and absolutely everyone had to have a copy. His formula was very simple for this record, nice and easy guitar and a set of pipes the islands hadn't seen in a very long time. If you want to hear the vocal range he has, listen to Wanting Memories and then listen to Akaka Falls. His vocal range is out of this world. I've listened to this album hundreds of times and still love every single song on it. Especially Kawaipunahele, E Ho'i Ka Pili, Kauanoeanuhea, and Come Sail Away. I know a lot of people loved the song Kawaipunahele but I actually consider Kauanoeanuhea as my absolute favorite song on this album. Buy it. You'll definitely love it.

On a visit to the Islands a few years ago I asked locals for IZ type music- Keali'i Reichel was first on everyone's list. I have all his music and don't need to understand the language to understand the message.
