This album represents the work of two friends, Lisa Loeb and Elizabeth Mitchell, who together performed as "Liz and Lisa" long before Loeb's breakout success as part of Nine Stories with "Stay" and the album "Tails". While this album seems aimed at children (or those with children) I find it an absolutely delightful listen. It's a great collection of beautiful music, some obscure, some very familiar. The arrangements are happy, and Elizabeth Mitchell's voice is absolutely angelic. I strongly urge the purchase of the physical CD; the accompanying story and illustrations are perfectly endearing.
While Loeb has maintained a healthy presence, Mitchell is relatively unheard of. I highly suggest giving her other works a listen- you'll find her as a member of Ida, and you'll also find she has recorded solo projects intended for listening with little ones. Ida creates such gorgeous, hauntingly beautiful music; while not quite the peppy, happy sound you might expect if you've only been exposed to Catch the Moon, it's most certainly worth your time.

We have been listening to this CD every naptime and bedtime since our 2 1/2 year old daughter was just weeks old! We continue to love it and still after listening to it thousands of times...even on the baby monitor,,,we never tire of it! Of course by now we all know ALL the words!!!! Love it, love it, love it!

This entire album is wonderful, so soothing and relaxing and fun. Perfect for dancing and holding your baby. Very thoughtful and very un-mtv-a nice positive change from all of the negative stuff out there. Catch the Moon is the best! But, they are all nice and make you happy to have been a child.
