I became obsessed with William Onyeabor in the mid '80s, while serving in the Peace Corps in Cameroon. IMHO, his magnum opus is "When the Going is Smooth and Good." I have it only on a dusty cassette made from a scratchy LP. Luaka Bop, can you dig this up and put it on iTunes? Only then can I die happy.
  • Out of this world!!

It seems at once both familiar yet totally bizarre. Considering the state of technology and music when this was made it is really outstanding and way ahead of its time. Bravo!!
  • You look so good fantastic man.

Purchased a few vinyl records of his years ago because one of the covers was intriguing. What I found inside was Nigerian funk at its finest. I discovered Apollo Sunshine who awesomely covered "Better Change Your Mind".
  • Love first song, can't wait for more!
