Two of my top 10 albums are Boys and Girls and Bete Noir. Both are gorgeous, and are perfect on cold, cloudy, blustery winter nights. Stir in some Avalon, brew some hot chocolate with Baileys Irish Cream, and snuggle up with your favorite partner...

If you loved the wounded synth driven crooning of Roxy Music’s swan song Avalon then this should be on your shelf. This is really slick, sophisticated mid eighties pop that lingers unlike so much from the eighties.
A high favorite since the 80's

Bought it in the 80's, still have the original CD, long since transferred the songs to my iTunes library. This is solid gold. Pure magic. Just buy it. More proof that the 80's were the best decade in living memory...gone forever, but for the music left behind, like this masterpiece...
Unique!

There’s no one like Bryan Ferry. His music is a timeless ambience of emotions that adds a worldly music sound to an alternative genre. His style of music and attitude is like no other. He takes you to Brazil via London. He’s suave without trying, the Cary Grant of music.

One review said this needs remastered, but this IS the remaster. And it sounds absolutely fine. Anyway, a great album that I've only recently been introduced. Bryan Ferry is amazing.
LOVE this album, but

it BADLY needs a remastering, along with the rest of the BF and Roxy catalog.
Classic Album

This album is a classic from the 80s, along with Roxy Music’s “Avalon”. Several of the songs from this album were staples on MTV. If you were going to NYC in the 80s this was the album you imagined would be playing when you crossed the city and heady to a cool bar in Manhattan.
