Thought experiment borrowed from “It’s a Wonderful Life”: imagine what popular music would be like without Brian Eno. Would Roxy Music have made such a splash without his caterwauling synthesizers? What would Bowie, Talking Heads and U2’s careers have been like without his input? Different anyway. “Eno is God” used to be scrawled on NYC walls in the late ‘70s. He was hugely influential, and this album was made right at that point when his impact was rippling out. Way cool.

Truly one of my favorite album of all time. I am not a music reviewer so I will just leave it at that. I remember I even drew the cover in pencil after getting and listening to the album a few dozen times. Wish I knew what I did with that drawing. Even have this albums music newspaper advert autographed by Eno. I have got to dig that out and get it up on my wall! Forgot about it till I bought this album on iTunes.
