  • This is their best compilation

2000 was quite a year for greatest hits compilations as many artists put out compilations that year. The Newsboys out out a compilation too, and my oh my is the best compilation they have ever put out. They take songs from the albums: Not Ashamed, Going Public, Take Me To Your Leader, and Step Up To The Microphone (in my opinion, those are their four best albums of all time). They also added three new tracks (Joy, Praises, and Who?). However, there is no such thing as a perfect compilation. I do think that there are two songs that shouldn’t have been included on this album, particularly “I Got Your Number” and “Mega Mix” the former is from their debut album, Read All About It, which was a dud in my opinion. While “Mega Mix” feels extremely pointless. I also would have wished to have seen perhaps more than just two songs from Going Public and Not Ashamed (I also would have liked to see some songs from Love Liberty Disco). In the end, this is still a great way to introduce anyone to the pre-Tait Newsboys and see for yourself that there is so much more to the newsboys than “God’s Not Dead,” “We Believe,” and “Guilty” so give it a listen.

I'd like more synth though. Use a Roland JP-8000 synthesizer or something. What's wrong with that?
