Now I know some folks don't like the imperfections of live recordings, but I for one love the background noises, and subtle glitches in a live recording. My wife, God rest her soul, would disagree with me on this fact. She loved studio recording while I have always preferred live music. That being said, this is an outstanding recording.

After listening to this live album I have to agree with the previous reviews on the audio quality. HAARP (Muse’s previous live album) is better, not just in audio quality but even the general track listing is better.

I have the video and the CD. A group of us all over the country watch it together. Excellent!! I grew up with Hetfield and Bono. Muse matches them and takes it to another level. Fabulous!!

I have seen Muse live three times, and loved them every time. One of the happiest moments of my recent life was standing in the front row during one of their shows on The 2nd Law Tour. This album perfectly captures the excitment felt from standing among thousands of other Muse fans watching a band that puts on some of the best live shows I've ever seen. The cheering and singing from the crowd coupled with Matt Bellamy's larger than life vocal work, Dom Howard's intense and passionate percussion work, and Chris Wolstenholme's perfectly tuned backing vocals and epic bass work makes this Muse's best live album to date and one of the best live recorded albums released recently. While I would have liked to see songs such as Plug in Baby, Feeling Good, and Liquid State, I understand that Muse cannot fit the entire concert onto one album, which is easy to forgive considering that everything on the album is incredible. Every Muse fan those wanting to get into their unreal music needs to check out this album. It is truly perfection in every sense.
  • Misunderstanding

To me it seems after reading reviews of this album that people misunderstand what the purpose Muse has in releasing Live albums. Muse is creating a live atmosphere for the listener; you can feel apart of the audience by listening to their live albums, this one with no exception. I see the view of others, and respect and understand what they were hoping for in an album like this, wanting to really just hear the music, leave out the audience, and that I like as well, but for that, you can just listen to the studio albums. You won’t get better quality than that. Listening to Muse live is all about the atmosphere created by how they play, and how well they play, and how unique they sound. So, I understand, and can sympathize with both sides, but I feel this album is the best live one I’ve heard them produce. I feel like I’m there, literally. I can hear everyone around me, and can hear the amazing sound. If you don’t like the sound, then stick to the studio albums. Period. Don’t bother with this.
