This remaster is awful. I couldn’t even get past the first track questioning what I was listening to. The rebalance of guitars and vocals has completely changed the sound, not to mention the deletion/substitution of tracks overall. This is a mess. Go rip the original CD and save your money.

Nice remaster except for cutting off initial setup on "Last Night on Maudlin Street" which ruins the first side. The slow setup after "Angle ... " made the album for me. Find an non-remastered version or a U.S. vinyl. 2019: just registered. This remaster is a CRIME and robbing me of my memories which is contrary to the very nature of this album. Not having "Ordinary Boys" before "I Don't Mind if You Forget Me" is a horrible, horrible travesty.

Where is the original? Seriously, it’s a form of erasing history when the original is unavailable and it’s been replaced with a manicured rendition. I want the original.

While I liked the original album when it first came out in 1988, I find Morrissey had a case of the George Lucas' and tampered with what should have been a final word. Replacing Ordiary Boys with Human Being was a huge mistake as the song is jarringly weak and incongruous. In its original iteration this album showed Morrissey adroitly segue from a Smith to a man of his own making. The music Stephen Street comes up woth is superb. Last Night on Maudlin Street hints at some of Morrissey's coming adventures and also a goodbye to his former persona as he would go on to harden up and write lyics exuting more power, confidence and humor. I hope the orioginal will again be available on iTunes.

The original release of this album had ‘Ordinary Boys’ and ‘Hairdresser on Fire’. Both of these songs are missing and seemingly replaced with ‘Treat Me Like A Human Being’. That’s not a Remaster, but, rather a remake of some sort. The original tracks are much better and preferred. Also, ‘Late Night, Maudlin Street’ is faded out earlier than the original release. Why? The album was short changed original music, not to mention the sub par quality of the mystery new track’Treat Me Like A Human Being’. I really enjoy Morrissey and I clicked “Purchase” before I looked over the song titles to an album that didn’t need to be changed and shouldn’t have been changed. The music is great, but, this is a case of iTunes failing hard…for no apparent reason.

Ordinary Boys and Hari Dresser on Fire are missing (You can get Hari Dresser on Fire from Bona Drag remaster, but not Ordinary Boys)
