Another solid Death Cab album

I don't get the bad reviews for Codes and Keys. Yeah, it's not like Transatlanticism, but neither is any other Death Cab album. I'm judging it based off of the album on its own merit and I think it's another solid Death Cab album to the collection. Is it their best? No. But it still has some classic songs like "You Are a Tourist" and "Underneath the Sycamore." I do agree that I wish there was a little more guitar work, but I can't fault the guys for wanting to mix it up a bit, as they had been a band for close to 13 years when this album was released. If you're new to Death Cab, I do recommend starting with some of their older albums, as this is a little bit of a change from Death Cab's core sound.
