…yes, people we are in the void. The void where everybody makes the same music, using the same chop edit techniques. Devoid of musicianship. The Chromatics have been a band for quite a long time. They know how to make music, and they make it very well. Band’s just aren’t making music holistically like they use to. Computers have made everything sound sterile and bland. The Chromatics make music using old world techniques, blended with the sounds of today. This is how electronic music should be made. Not made via a simple arpeggiator on a Reason synth with the same tired chick singing a cliche verse that was done better 30 years ago. This album is going to be insanely well put together if this single is any indicator, much like their last two releases. The band deserves heaps; however, if they never receive it I wouldn’t be surprised because they do not sell out. Many people caught wind from the Drive soundtrack alone. Do yourself a favor and pick up all of the prior releases and be blown away.
