Urbanite Indie Rock was not made to be played in your mini-van driving your kids to soccer practice. I don't think he's singing that word, but words are words and art is art, and Tipper Gore can go shove it. There is plenty of blasé "family-friendly" crap out there that appeals to decency.

I'm sick and tired of EVERYONE saying "Oh, he's saying the f-word and it's not approriate for kids." SCREW YOU IF YOU HAVE EVER DONE THIS HORRIBLE DEED TO YOUR KID! YOUR NOT A VERY GOOD PARENT AFTER ALL! MUSIC IS LIFE IS MUSIC, TAKE AWAY THE MUSIC, TAKE WAY THE LIFE. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HARD-HEADED MINDS! I'm very religious, (Catholic and proud!!!) and even if he did say it, I wouldn't care at all. Can't you people see he only says 'fa' to grab your attention?!?!?!? It's done on purpose. WHY? TO GET YOU THINKING. TO GRAB YOUR INTEREST. MUSIC FOR THOUGHT. PUBLICITY, EVEN. I've now finished my rant. thanks for reading the honest-to-God truth here. =)

Even though this video is not marked as explicit, Ezra does say the F-word in the first chours. And even though it might not even say that in the lyrics on the CD, but when I saw them live the other day, he put a lot of emphasis on that word and said it without his usual Ezra way of pronouncing the F-word.

When I first found VW, I liked them only for their music because I hadn't seen the music videos yet. I never realized how every one of their videos are amazing! They are all so creative and quirky. I love the 80's music video feel ot this one. Its hilarious! XD And yes, people. It does say the F word in the song.

Okay yes they do say the F bomb just the beginning and then they say ta and then they say fight. They only say it once. And second If you would look up your information before posting all of your ignorant knowledge, the cap cod their singing about is about a movie ezra made when he was in college. Thats how the name vampire weekend got started, because the movie was called that.
  • This video is hilarious

Are you guys kidding me? There is nothing average about this video whatsoever. I think you completely miss the point if you don't like it. It is soooooo cheesy that it is hilarious. I laugh out loud every time I watch it. My favorite part is when the lead singer's face is super-imposed like a senior picture from the 80's. I love this band's music and style. They are quickly becoming one of my favorites.
