I downloaded this to try out the video on my new iPod. This video is trash. The music is good; the video is not, little imagination used here. I found it tasteless. In my family we call this smut. Come on Tom, you can do better than this.
  • Soundtrack of Life

Petty has continued to grow as a person and as an artist. His music has expanded as he navigates the journey of his own life. The symbolism and lyrics are profound for anyone who has traveled a few miles on the highway of life. The more a person has had to work hard for what they are, the greater the impact of his music. It's wonderful to see someone unfold deeper layers of who they are as an artist rather than repeat the same formula for the rest of their career. All of Petty's music forms the soundtrack for many of our lives. Check out his new album, Highway Companion.
