  • What Happened?

I'm not sure what happened, but A.) maybe this is what happens when artists get greedy & want to cash in on a brand expecting us to buy anything. B.) Or maybe this is just what happens when your time is up as a band. C.) Or maybe this is the result of a poor nearsighted producer, since Michael Baskette's work seems to be sinking all the artists he works with. Drop him fast & bring in someone new. He's got no ear at all. Every song sounds the same-- rushed, loud, & uneven. The blame should be all on the producer for letting this see the light of day, but we know that A & B are still to blame too. This just isn't working anymore. I know they have the right to do what they want and if we don't like it we don't have to buy it, but it's just such a shame because there's such a talent here. Slash just hasn't had an entirely magical album as a whole since the Slash (2010) album (different producer). The live shows have been good, including Kennedy's take on GNR songs, and there's a song or two that stand out on each album, but there are a lot of blah average songs that have no soul to them. Nothing I'd buy if it didn't have a Slash brand on them, nothing I'll buy anymore even with the name. Slash argued that "I think it has a little more diversity" but I'd argue this album has little diversity at all. The One You Loved Is Gone and Driving Rain could have been good favorite tracks.

This was an awesome album! If you have a chance to see Slash live, the songs are even better in person. Serve you right is the best song on the album followed closely by lost Inside the girl, the one you loved is gone, driving rain, and the call of the wild. Worth the money!
  • Really, Slash??

I’m not sure what’s cheesier, the album cover or Myles Kennedy’s voice. Both make me slightly nauseous and severely disappointed. What’s next, an album with Nick Jonas? Sorry Slash, you’ve lost a fan of 30 years.
  • Desperate for me hard rock/metal

This isn’t it - everyone in the band is talented, but I agree with some of the other reviews- Myles has a good voice, but it wears on you after two songs, songs are repetitive - still searching for something new, and BTW it isn’t The Strokes or Greta Van Fleet
  • Enough!!

I can only take so many songs sung by Myles. His voice is wearing after 2 songs.

With Slash having spent the better part of the last couple years with GnR and Myles doing solo gigs and Alter Bridge, it’s a true testament to their work ethic and being masters of their craft. What a great rocking record from start to finish. With electronic music’s popularity, this record is a great shot in the arm for rock. Just a simple five guys and their instruments. Elvis in the production booth seems to always bring out the best of everyone, not just with the Conspirators, but with Alter Bridge, Myles, and Tremonti solo work as well. I’m so happy with the record and fortunate that SMKC is still and (hopefully) plans to continue to put out new music. Thanks, gents! Cheers!

It's very repetitive...I like Slash and Myles has a great voice but it's nothing original...

Every song is awesome! Some of the best rock music I’ve heard in a while. The guitar riffs by Slash are brilliant and Myles is amazing!
