I have been an admirer of Lisa Colemen from way back in her days with Prince & the Revolution to her work post Prince with creative partner Wendy Melvoin. This new album according to the liner notes is a collection of music created for different projects at different times. They now are finding the light of day in this delightful collection of songs. This album gives glimpse to the creative process of how a song gets birthed. The artist takes you on a train ride to discover what's next. Where is this song going. Unpolished and raw the songs give you a very emotional intimate feel. In past interviews Lisa indicated that she has hours of "Piano Brain Droppings". I hope this is the 1st installment of those hours.
