Getting Good - EP

It boggles my mind how Lauren Alaina hasn’t blown up yet. She is Pop/Country musics best kept secret—that we need to let everyone in on. This EP and Getting Over Him are the best collections of music released in the last year. If you can’t jam to it, it’s a pretty song. Never gets old, definitely a jam in the car with the windows rolled down type EP. Country In Me is super underrated too.

don’t get me wrong, I love Lauren and her music, but this is definitely not country in my opinion. Her first album “Wildflower” was AWESOME and every bit of country! Songs like “Like My Mother Does” and “Dirt Road Prayer” really show off Lauren’s voice and they sound country! “Road Less Traveled” was ok, and it did have some good country songs on it like “Doin Fine” and “Think Outside the Boy” but other songs like “My Kinda People” and “Crashin the Boys Club” aren’t near as good and sound like they could be a Taylor Swift pop song!🤷🏼‍♀️The only 2 songs I like on this EP are “In My Veins” and “On the Other Side”. If the rest of the album sounds like these 2 songs, I think it’ll be ok! If this is what Lauren wants to do, I fully support her, but I just prefer her more country sounding songs!

Rather than letting stars appear naturally, Smashville continues serving non-country, talentless pandering. If you don’t have more than 5 songs at 20 #youaintcountry This Kane Brown nonsense is trash

I am so happy she released this as is- I feel more artists should do this and considering we’re all at home right now new music is what my soul needed and Lauren delivered and then some. I love every song but by far my favorite is Country in Me. Oof- just killer!!!! But this EP you won’t regret it!!!!!!!!

Lauren Alaina has the kind of voice that commands an audience and touches the soul. Her powerful delivery of music is a rare gift among musicians.

I love Lauren and ‘In my veins’ is the best song ever! Although, thank you girl because ‘somebody else’s problem’ came at the perfect time time for me.
