I first saw Misterwives play at an indie festival in 2017 with Portugal. The man, Sir Sly, and Magic Giant. I enjoyed their set but never really got into their music until now. Absolutely fantastic album, give it a listen!

I can't stop listening to any of their albums, but this one in particular hits me hard with its often somber tone..."Alone" and "The End" are absolute masterpieces

It's a pretty solid album, but a little repetitive. This band was the opening band for a concert I went to recently, and I was excited to hear they were making a new album. It was a good album overall, but not my favorite band ever. The best song (imo) is over the rainbow. 4/5 album

Fell in love with them way back in the day with the Reflections EP.
3 albums later, they still know how to make a collection of happy/sad/giddy/pensive/cathartic feelings.

MisterWives return to deliver their most personal and heartwrenching collection of songs. A detailed look into the fall and rise of singer Mandy Lee's heart and mind. The production is immaculate across the board (I assume drummer extrodinaire and fledging production wizard Etienne Bowler is partly responsible). The songs hang together but no two of them explore the same set of sounds or melodic mannerisms. Lots of new and bold colors bring extra character to each track, and of course the phenomenal guitar, bass, keys, horns, and percussion work of the rest of the band are to thank for this dazzling show of diversity and consistency. However for me, the star of the show this time is Mandy Lee, who's voice deftly defies description. She's cathartic, enigmatic, acerbic, emphatic, euphoric, elastic, never plastic, and overall fantastic. Do yourself a favor today and Superbloom with MisterWives. You can't regret it.
