I downloaded this album the night before a roadtrip through rural New Mexico. What a treat! I'm glad to see Jesse embracing trap rhythms and 808-inspired themes. The album starts with bold tracks Number 5 and Hey! and doesn't let up. My love for interesting ambient mood forces me to claim Oran as my favorite.

Every established star is entitled to a new direction even if it leaves old fans behind. This change mostly left me behind. The new band sans Chris Church is just not my cup of tea, but at least Jesse threw us “Solace” & “Onward Till Dawn”…the rest is major key dance music stuff. Two winners on an album is nothing to sneeze at though for this dedicated fan and will happily make my favorites rotation. I cannot give more than three stars for this work considering how great Jesse has been. If he was going to stretch, I was hoping for more the jazzy “Miles Shorter” or “Tommy & Me” direction.
