Here's what you do- recline your seat, turn your phone off for an hour, and revel in this lush soundscape Sarah created. I bought Mirrorball in 1999 and the songs still make me smile and put me at ease. This one is a keeper. Well done!

Someone mentioned that this album is incredible from a production standpoint. I couldn't agree more. Listen to the clarity and detail of each piece of the band. Acoustic instruments, electric/electronic instruments, and fantastic voices blend perfectly; and the arrangements of the songs are very well done and well performed. I'd say the two best live albums I know of are Mirrorball and Exit Stage Left by Rush. Hmmm... maybe I'm part Canadian.

"it's a little too by the book to win any new converts, or please critical listeners". Please. You reek of self-importance. You are a tiny king on a tiny hill. If Mirrorball failed to "win any new converts", I'll eat my shorts. If you haven't been "converted" to Sarah's music, please ignore the ugly gnome and his twisted, dusty crown. I envy you; you get to discover music that's profound and satisfying. I wish I could do it all over.

I was exposed to McLachlan's music at a young age, and I remain thankful to this day for her influence. I was given a copy of Mirrorball as a gift at age four, after falling in love with "Building A Mystery" - till this day it is still my favorite song. There isn't a low point on this album; Sarah delivers time and time again. Her breathy vocals, curious lyrics, and powerful melodies make her a musical monarch, and her music a spiritual experience.

After seeing Sarah perform beautifully at the Opening Ceramonies at the Olympics, I grabbed my dad's only Sarah McLachlan Cd, which was this one. I had, previously, only known a few songs like: Building A Mystery, Adia, I Will Remember You, and Angel. I listened to the whole thing while watching the Olympics the next day and really enjoyed it. I wondered and still am, how I didn't realize how good she was earlier. Her good lyrics and musical and singing skills remind me of Jewel, who I have listened to since I was 9. She is a very good artist and this CD led me to get more of her albums.

Flawless as Sarah herself. This album ranks in my top 10. Posession is in my opinion the diamond in the rough, if there were a rough. This song also ranks in my top 10.

there were one or two songs that i was familiar with before i bought the album, and i did not even know that she sang them. i was really impressed with all the other songs, which really show off sarah's unique vocal talents.

I am not kidding when I say that this has been my favorite CD from when I was a kid. From "I Will Remember You" on, every song is fantastic! (I don't care for the first three though)
  • A production masterpiece

Aside from the exceptional songwriting that has propelled Sarah McLachlan into worldwide stardom, this album is worth a purchase based simply on its production value. This is arguably the best mixed and mastered live album in its genre. An A+ for anyone in the sound business.
