Loved this one from start to finish....badlands is still my favorite. One of the only CDs I knew of that had a shiner cover....don't pass this album bye if you love metal back when that was all you needed to know.....

Human Factor is better, but this is good.
  • Without a doubt, a must have.

I was a huge fan of Heretic and when I saw Mike Howe was fronting this band I knew it would be great. No disappointment here. It is to this day still in my rotation and plays all the time as are Hanging and Human Factor.

This album had such an impact on me when I was a kid. It showed how metal could be emotional, intense, artistic, and just great to listen to. I could go on but if you want to know great old school metal, this album is it.

Easily one of my all-time favorites, and certainly one of the most memorable and influential metal albums of that era. In fact, even despite my heavier and more modern tastes in music... Post-grunge, Metalcore, Nu-metal (Staind, Hatebreed, Korn, etc.), Tracks like "Fake Healer", "Badlands", and "Anthem to the Estranged" are timeless; and still mix nicely with the modern metal when chosen at random in my Ipod's shuffle mode.
  • Still on my play list 24 years later...

This is a true classic metal album from the 80's. I never skip any song in this one... Love it from begining to end. It's a must have for any thrash metal fan.
