I remember when this came out and got to see them play many of these songs live. Great times!

As a fan Led Zeppelin, and less so, of Page’s work in The Firm, Coverdale Page, and odd appearances, the Page and Plant No Quarter collection, and Plant’s solo work, I don’t merely think this is pretty good. I think it stands as a solid collection in an AOR context (listen to it beginning to end, the whole is more than the sum of its parts) and some songs stand on their own well, too. In fact, while there is nothing on here I like as much as In The Evening, I think this is a better album over all than In Through The Out Door.
Love this record!

Incredible stuff from Page and Plant. Ages well, such intricacies.
Very underrated

This album does not deserve all the bad rep it gets. It sounds great, the songs are incredible, and it's all in all a very great album. Don't listen to the negative reviews
Needs some clean up….

The songs are all over the place, and most don't quite hit the mark. Page seems to be pulling out his guitar encyclopedia, injecting interesting tidbits here and there, but too much of his playing here is merely okay and not memorable. Plant seems to be saving up his voice for ?? He seems to be avoiding specific tonal ranges, and it shows. At worst, his voice can be somewhat irritating on songs, and he tries to "oh yeah" his way through in a whiney off tune kind a way.. i see why this work doesn't bolt to the LZeps fans favorites.
The way music should be.

I bought this in '98 when it came out and was blown away. Best tracks here are: When the world was young, heart in your hand, walking into clarksdale, and, most high.
I gave it four stars because John Paul Jones isn't on it and, in my eyes, he was a serious driving force in Zeppelin and was too often underrated and overlooked in favor of Page and Bonham.
I've been waiting for this album on iTunes.

I feel as though this is the best post-Zeppelin album for either of them. "When theWorld Was Young" is my personal favorite.
Underrated

This album is the best album that either parties, ( Jimmy, or Robert ) from Led Zeppelin have done, since their days in Zeppelin. Only one song, I thought was sub-par, that being : Sons of Freedom. Excellent Album ! ! !
Like a fine wine that got better with age.

I'm a long time Led Zeppelin fan and think its the best album I've heard in years. Newer bands need to hear this and learn.
Rock is never dead, it just evolves. Thank you Robert Plant and Jimmi Page for continuing your inovations.
