Freight Train and Other North Carolina Folk Songs and Tunes

I knew Freight Train early, having learned an adaptation of her impossible to replicate finger-picking style. When I was beginning college is when I began to really know Miss Cotten. So amazing that so much came from someone with very little acknowledgment until late in her life. I have Elizabeth "Libba" Cotten to thank for my love and talent as a finger-picker. Thanks, Libba!

I enjoy this quite a bit. Who ever knew that a woman at her age could get down like she does. Her technical skills are really astounding. I would definately recommend Freight Train. That was the first song of hers I heard and it still amazes me.
