I wanted to like this album, but it just didn't even feel like Live. It kinda feels like a Christian rock band trying to be live. Just weird.
  • Pretty good.

I am probably the biggest fan of Live. I own every song by them. The only reason I am giving this album 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are some obvious flaws. There are some standouts that have become some of Live's best like:The River, Mystery, Sofia, and Where Do We Go From Here? These are underrated songs that need some appreciation. They did a great job but they were just missing that spark that they used to have.
  • Different, but addicting

I actually didn't really care for this album when I first heard it. But I got an iTunes gift card and since I'm a huge Live fan and want to have everything they've done, I bought this album. One day on shuffle, Love Shines comes on and I enamored with this song. So I give the album a second shot and I’m glad I did as it’s really fantastic. Realize it is not TC or SS, in fact quite different, so you’ve been warned. This album just shows a different level of maturity. If you like the heavy side of Live, then stay away. If you have more diverse tastes, then this is one you’ll enjoy!

Not that good. There were a very few songs I did actually enjoy. Man I wish I wouldn't of bought the hardcopy of this. They do seem like some pretty cool guys in a band, but I just wasn't a huge fan of there music.

What has happened to Live? Growing up during the nineties, Throwing Copper was one of the greatest things to have happened to music that decade, and Throwing Copper was loved and played frequently and will go down as a classic masterpiece, with each song having its own different sound, but still essentially from Live. This new album lacks creativity, heart, and sounds like they just wanted to throw something out there. Every song sounds like a carbon copy of the first song "The River", which was off the airways almost as soon as it was on. Live was great during the nineties, but have succombed to an apathetic appraoch, and terrible depature from what made them successful. If I could give it less than one star, I would.

This is the best Live album since Throwing Copper. Buy it now.

It seems like alot of the people writing the reviews for this albim are waiting for Live to write THROWING COOPER:2.Well stop living in the past,it was a great album and yes it is also my favorite Live album but this band has been around for a long time are more mature and this new sound suits them just fine.Mellow, spiritual, and fullfilling if you can accept they will never do a TC2 album before and after listening.
  • I hate to say this but...

...this effort (if you can call it a "real" effort, falls extremely short of their carreer. The only one notable exception to this (otherwise boring, and tedious) album is "Mystery". Otherwise...save and don't "throw your copper" at this weak letdown.

Is this a Christian album? Is that what the harshness of heroin does to a grunge bands latter albums and struggle out of addiction. That is just a guess! I cant tell whether Toad The Wet Sprocket is Christian or not.
  • Too harsh people!

Someone I know says you have to try something three times before saying whether you really like it or not. I think that people who rated this album low didn't actually listen to the actual music. Sure it's not the best one made by them, and its far from the days of White, Discussion and all those rockin songs, but it's still awesome music. I think the River is definately the best, others to check out would be Love Shines, All I need, You are not Alone, and Mystery.
