    Funny song
  • Better than what's on the radio, but low for Lupe.

Let's establish that this song is obviously satire. It's not serious, it's more of a parody of what's on the radio than a song to be played on it. But just because it's parody doesn't give it an excuse to be a bad song. Most of the lines are not wordplay, but connecting two unrelated topics by a rhyme. This obviously a parody, but it's such a good parody, that it's almost indistinguishable from what it's mocking, and that's not a good thing. It's like the musical equivalent of Epic Movie. Remember how terrible that was? Just because it's parody doesn't make it smart, meta, clever, funny, or even good, parody is just as much as an art form as quality entertainment. However, with all of that said, the song is sonically pleasing (at least to me) which is the only thing keeping it away from one star.

The new album sounds great & when you hear it you'll understand why he could drop something light like this and then turn around and drop an atom bomb like Mural!

Lupe experiments with a different sound. Don't expect him to be the same, change isn't boring
  • Disappointing. What happened to Lupe?

I would download it even if it was free. Very disappointing.

If you don't like it, you simply don't like it...and that's your prerogative; stick to his old stuff, however, art doesn't stay in one place like our ego's do. While I found the beat to be so-so, the cadence he used to accompany it is a huge step in the right direction for a beat that doesn't bore to tears. The lyricism was as satirical as "Dumb it Down" on his older LP The cool. So far, my favorite is the tracked "Deliver" that he released earlier this year. I think the album will be a step up from the last one.

Did anybody listen to the lyrics? He's not trying to be hard... Its a story about people that are for no reason...

I feel sorry for the people not able to understand what Lupe is talking about. Be more conscious about the music you listen to.

Too bad I can't give this crap 0 stars!!! I am a die hard Lupe fan and this is NOT Lupe. I'm shocked this was even put out, there is no way he agreed to this. His label must have dropped it for him. But why even record this crap in the fist place. I'm disappointed.
