There should be a college course on this album and "The Cool". In the late 80's early 90's this guy would be hailed as a pioneer today he is irrelevant to the youth. Sad! I hope in the future he will be rediscovered!

Lupe is piercing through the musical fabric in a fresh sounding, picture painting album with hard-to-match lyricism. The music captivates with its multi cultural expressions. The songs and lyrics are so well put together that I suspect direct collaboration between Lupe and the producers well into the recording of his vocals. There is so much depth to the songs that I'm frankly astonished; the sheer amount of work that had to have gone into this leaves me lost for words. Props to the producers and sound engineers!
