For those of us pining for anything that could resemble Pantera, this CD is not the cure. Not much here except big names. If you think this is "the greatest metal cd out there" like several have commented, you're obviously around 15 years old and know nothing about metal. I'd use this album as a sound machine to help me sleep before cranking it in my car. Really makes you appreciate tht greatness of Dimebag
  • Hellyeah!!!!! For sure

Just revisited Hellyeah's self-titled debut album in it's entirety for the first time in a few years, and all I can say is that this is a great album overall. The supergroup has a perfect amount of head banging, southern style hard rock making me recommend this album for anybody who likes Pantera, Damageplan, Drowning Pool, and any other bands along those lines. Recommended tracks: - "You Wouldn't Know" - "Alcohaulin' A**" - "In the Mood/Star" (both tracks blend into each other) - "Thank You"

  • Oversimplified "radio friendly" metal...crap.

It's ok, but I think the bands they came from individually were much better. Nothingface, Pantera, and Mudvayne (before they oversimplified themselves) were much better than this. It's just a rock band, and it's nothing more than that. I guess that's ok, but I don't like settling for mediocracy. I like music that makes you THINK musically and lyrically. Oversimplified riffs, drums, and lyrics that cater to a "dumb audience" doesn't impress me. I feel like this band was created for people who just want to sit back, drink until they puke, and neglect education...or drug using, high school drop outs who didn't even TRY to go anywhere in life. Don't encourage simple mindedness PLEASE. We have enough of that from bands like Nickelback and Linkin Park.
