  • "Hurting Kind" Good Song For The Highway

I love the pulsing beat of this song. It reminds me a little of "Tall Cool One" from Plant's previous LP "Now and Zen."

  • mediocre rock with a great singer

I'm glad to see Robert Plant do some rocking songs but the album is not that great. The guitarist plays the same way in all of the harder rocking songs. The lighter songs are ok, but boring. If Robert Plant weren't the singer for this album I would give it 2 stars.
  • Better Than I Expected

I had lower expectations for this album, but it is a solid, straight forward rock album. Definitely worth a listen.

"Tie Dye on the highway" just blew me away. I have been listening this one for over a decade and still love it.
  • Plant Gets Back to Rockin'

Not perfect, but admirable. This effort shows Plant finally moving away from his experimental leanings and finding, well, some good stuff. Still inconsistent, this effort shows courage. "Hurting Kind" is his lead-off effort which is a nice pop-rock jaunt. Other tracks demonstrate his evolution away from experimentation, albeit less solid: "Tye Dye on the Highway" is an amazing and wonderfully boistrous tribute to Woodstock; "Nirvana" is an awesome effort showcasing Plant's vocals. "Anniversary" is a vocal gem. A spotty effort yet a clear departure fron the experimental phase of the last two albums, this one holds hope for Zep enthusiasts. Perhaps Plant is back as true rocker?

Plant does a great job. I'm a true Zepplin fan and enjoyed this album. This was released back when I was in high school. There were many days this was on during the puff - puff pass.
